About William Jones

William Jones is an Indigenous healer who began meditating at a young age. He started intuitively healing friends and family at eleven years old. William has expanded his repertoire for healing by earning his Reiki Master certificate in the Usui tradition, and his Qigong Teacher training certificate, and has started his journey to become a druid, beginning as a Bard, in the Order of Bards, Ovates, and Druids (OBOD). William has been exploring music intuitively throughout his life and can play by ear. In all of the above experiences it takes strong attention to detail, from choosing the correct healing technique, and the right colour pallet, to choosing the right words, William has it. The one constant throughout all of his art has been the theme of healing; this is what he is passionate about.

His paintings are stories on canvas. These stories stem from a combination of William's heritages, both Celtic and Indigenous, and his journey to becoming a healer. The media that he uses is acrylic on canvas. When he was in Whitehorse, Yukon he worked as an artist in Artist in the Schools program. He went to various schools and the ones that he found himself visiting most were the French immersion schools because he is an Indigenous person who can speak French. By combining both art styles and reaching a broader community, William hopes to inspire healing through his art.

William received a Diamond Jubilee Medal from the Governor General of Canada for his leadership and dedication to the arts. He is committed to creating a community that is like-minded, supportive, and inclusive.
